Scientific Management Team

The members of the SIGN-HUB Scientific Management Team are:

  • Meltem Kelepir (Bogaziçi Universitesi - Turkey)
  • Paolo Prinetto (Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale per l’Informatica - Italy)
  • Carlo Cecchetto (Università degli studi di Milano-Bicocca - Italy)

 

Advisory Board

The members of the SIGN-HUB Advisory Board are distinguished scholars in Europe and in the USA leading research on sign languages and/or on understudied languages:

  • Diane Brentari (University of Chicago)
  • Diane Lillo-Martin (University of Connecticut, President of the Sign Language Linguistics Society)
  • Karen Emmorey (San Diego State University)
  • Rachel Mayberry (UC, San Diego)
  • Tobias Haug (University of Zurich)
  • Manfred Krifka (Humboldt University, Berlin)

 

Steering committee

The project coordinator and Scientific Management team are supported in their scientific coordination activities by the Steering Committee. Members of the Steering Committee are (in WP order): the project coordinator Josep Quer (also leader of WP1), members of the Scientific Management Team (Carlo Cecchetto and Meltem Kelepir, also leaders of WP2, Paolo Prinetto, also leader of WP3, Caterina Donati and Carlo Geraci), the WP leaders (Cecchetto and Kelepir for WP2, Prinetto for WP3, Branchini and Cardinaletti for WP4) and the supervisors of WP-internal tasks (for WP2 Task 1: Meltem Kelepir & Josep Quer, Task 2: Markus Steinbach & Jana Hosemann, Task 3: Roland Pfau, Task 4: Caterina Donati and Naama Friedmann; for WP3: Tasks 1 and 2 Giuseppe Airò Farulla, Task 3 Marco Indaco). The Steering Committee meets twice a year, once in combination with the General Assembly.

 

General Assembly

The next level of management structure is the General Assembly, comprising a representation of each partner. It has a consulting role about changes in work packages and tasks, if necessary.
